Specialty System

Here on our site, we define a ninja by what they specialize in. Ninja use different styles of combat, and use different ways they go about combat, so we have given them a system that allows for freedom in choice of how one wishes to create there character, but also limits it so one can not be a master of everything and anything. We find this system to be in a good balance with the rest of our site, and find it to be a decent, responsible and worthwhile system for ninja to get to know and understand.

Use of Levels

On our site, we make use of levels or tiers, which differentiate skill between the users. There are three basic tier's, and one additional one that is only earned upon reaching S-Rank. They are, Specialist, Sub-specialist, mastered and mastered+. With Mastered+ respectively being the one reserved for those who obtain S-Rank status. We believe this system offers flexibility and a variety of options, but at the same time, takes small conservative steps towards limiting a character's overall growth.

Starting Specialties

Genin/D-Rank
1 Specialty and 1 sub-specialty
Or
3 Sub-specialty

Chuunin/C-Rank
2 Specialties
or
1 Specialty and 2 sub-specialty

Tob. Jounin/B-Rank
1 Mastered Specialty and 1 Specialty
Or
2 Specialty and 1 sub-specialty
Or
1 Specialty and 3 sub-specialty

Jounin/A-Rank
2 Mastered Specialty
Or
1 Mastered Specialty and 2 Specialty
Or
2 Specialty and 4 sub-specialty

Kage/A-Rank
3 Mastered Specialty
Or
2 Mastered Specialty and 2 Specialty
Or
3 Specialty and 3 sub-specialty

S-Rank - Unable to start with
When Obtained, increase one mastered specialty to mastered+

Spoiler:

Rank Up Specialties

Ranking up from Genin to Chuunin/C-Rank
Increase one Sub-specialty to Specialty

Ranking up from Chuunin to Tob. Jounin/B-Rank
Increase a Specialty to Master
Or
Increase a sub-specialty to specialty
Or
Gain a new sub-specialty

Ranking up from Tob. Jounin to Jounin/A-Rank
Increase a Specialty to Master
Or
Increase a specialty to master, and increase one sub-specialty to specialty
Or
Increase a sub-specialty to specialty and gain two sub-specialties

Ranking up to Kage/A-Rank
Gain a Master (also could increase a specialty to master)
Or
Gain a specialty

S-Rank -
When Obtained, increase one mastered specialty to mastered+

How it works?

If one follows the track, we have listed 2/3 Different options, color coded for your convenience. Each ninja, starting out makes a choice of how they wish to progress there character, we will use genin as it is the most basic example.

We have listed below that, in a spoiler, what one can do at each time they rank up. Its important to note, that ranking up is DIFFERENT than starting at that rank, and people who rank up will have different options/tracks they can take, its a bonus/perk of ranking up.

Takigakure
Ninjutsu:is a term referring to almost any technique and allows the user to do something that they otherwise would be incapable of doing. Unlike genjutsu, which makes the opponent see illusions, the effects of ninjutsu are real. They vary greatly in purpose, with the simpler ninjutsu serving such tasks as transforming the user or allowing them to evade attacks. These techniques are often second-nature for experienced shinobi, who can use them at will. Not having any skill in this area limits a Shinobi to only techniques of E and D rank, the most basic skills that every shinobi must have. If they wish to learn any of the higher leveled Ninjutsu techniques, one must first gain the necessary specialty.Genin under no circumstances may use or learn S-rank Jutsu of any kind.

Specialty:
Spoiler:

    Benefits:
  • Hand sign speed is fast with ninjutsu, able to complete a jutsu with 5 or less handsigns before a punch can be thrown.
  • Able to discern what elemental type of ninjutsu is, when 3 or more hand signs are presented, and act accordingly.
  • A specialist can have 4 shadow clones in play at a given time. Each clone is 1/4 the power of the original. They last for a maximum of 8 posts outside of the user's land.

  • Genin may only learn up to B-rank Ninjutsu
  • Chunin may learn up to A-rank Ninjutsu
  • All other ranks may learn up to S-rank Ninjustu (Kinjutsu and Factor not included)

Sub specialty:
Spoiler:

    Benefits:
  • Hand sign speed is fast with ninjutsu, able to complete a jutsu with 3 or less handsigns before a punch can be thrown.
  • Able to discern what elemental type of ninjutsu is, when 5 or more hand signs are presented, and act accordingly.
  • At this level, a sub can have 2 shadow clones in play, each clone is 1/4 the power of the original and are unable to use S rank jutsu. They last for a maximum of 3 posts outside of the user's land. 1/4 of the chakra would be S to B.

  • Genin may only learn up to C-rank Ninjutsu
  • All other ranks may learn up to B-rank Ninjutsu

Spoiler:

  • At this level, a master can have 4 shadow clones in play. Each clone is 1/2 the power of the original. They last for a maximum of 10 posts outside of the user's land and can not use S-Rank Factor or S-rank Kinjutsu ninjutsu.
